Better Business Bureau (BBB) of Western Virginia is offering the BBB Student of Integrity Scholarship Award. The award is a scholarship in the amount of $1,000. They offer scholarships recognizing “Students of Integrity" designed to recognize and promote ethics and integrity among young people. The BBB will award scholarships to graduating high school seniors who personify all of the best aspects of strong character in their personal choices and actions. Scholarship money is awarded directly to recipients to apply toward college tuition or post secondary education expenses. Applications and essays will be accepted from students who attend a high school or are home-schooled within the area served by this BBB. Rockingham Education Foundation Inc. (REFI) scholarships The REFI scholarship website is now open. These are some great scholarships available to students in Rockingham County Public Schools. There are scholarships available for all high school seniors in Rockingham County and some only available to Spotswood students. Visit http://www.refigivesback.org/spotswood-high-school.html to begin the application process. These scholarships have one online application (some may require additional essays). All applications and supporting documents are due by March 1, 2019.
Shenandoah Valley Electric Cooperative (SVEC) is awarding $80,000 in scholarships to 10 students in the service area. Eligible students must be high school seniors whose parents or guardians are consumers of SVEC. You may also stop by the Counseling Office to pick up a paper copy of the application. The scholarship application, essay and supporting documents are due by February 20, 2019.
