Regional Semi-Final Football Information Update
Due to unhealthy air quality, the football game between Turner Ashby and Spotswood has been postponed until Saturday 11/18/23 at 7:30PM! The game will take place at Turner Ashby High School.
All other outside activities have been canceled for today.
Please share the annual Spotswood High School Veterans Day Ceremony with those interested in joining our students as we honor local Veterans.
PM MTC will operate as normal. Students will need transportation to PM MTC. We can offer Transportation home in the Afternoon from SHS. The normal bus routes will operate this afternoon.
SHS. MTC will operate a normal schedule. Students that have the ability to be transported to MTC are welcome to attend. We will have a bus to take any bus riders to AM MTC. We WILL NOT bring students back to SHS at 11:20
Spotswood High School will be closed today, Monday, October 23. They are without power this morning due to a blown transformer.
Due to an electrical issue, Spotswood High School (only Spotswood High School will be closed today). Buses will return students and I am sending drivers home. If you dropped off your student they will remain in the large commons. Rad
SHS Events for the week of 10/23/23
Today was the first of a two day field trip for 9th grade Environmental Science students. Students visited Grand Caverns Park to test the quality of the South River by completing a water testing lab and searching for macroinvertebrates in different parts of the river. Students also toured Grand Caverns. A big thank you goes to Ms. Swartzentruber and Mrs. Crannell for putting this experience together for our students.

Your Marching Trailblazers were first overall in Class A. They won Fan Favorite, Best Percussion, Best Visual, and Best General Effect.
JMU's Parade of Champions is a premier band competition on the east coast!
They may be small in number, but they are large of heart and talent. They work hard each day to represent SHS well in events they take part in. We are EXTREMELY PROUD of this family of Trailblazers.

If you’re willing to donate any of the items on the list, the SHS Ruriteens will have a table set up near the ticket booth on Friday, October 6th, at the Homecoming game. Donations will be accepted from 5:30-7:30.
